Imaging Center

Beaumont-Royal Oak is home to a dedicated free-standing Imaging Center on campus, which is a multistory building which houses a gamut of radiology services and includes a state-of-the-art conference room

• Contains two 1.5-Tesla and one 3-Tesla MR units
• Two CT scanners and four digital ultrasound units
• Dedicated 3-Tesla Research Magnet
• General division has four fluoroscopy units
  • One chest room
  • Five digital general diagnostic rooms
• The Breast Imaging section is part of a Comprehensive Breast Care Center that functions jointly with Surgery and Radiation Oncology
  • There are five ultrasound units
  • Stereotactic prone and upright core biopsy units
  • 3-Tesla breast MR unit with capability for MR guided procedures
  • Top of the line mammography units with tomosynthesis and spot tomosynthesis

Inpatient Radiology

The facilities consist of:

• Five fluoroscopic units
• Three special procedure rooms,
• Seven CT scanners
• Over twenty ultrasound units with 3-D capability
• Six MRI scanners

Interventional Radiology and Interventional are in the Heart and Vascular center

• The center has two single-plane and two bi-plane angiography suites
• A multipurpose angiography room
• A dedicated venous access room

The south section of the hospital houses our Pediatric radiology and Musculoskeletal sections.
