Nursing Students Dearborn, Taylor, Trenton & Wayne

beaumont_hospital_trentonBeaumont, Trenton is a 193-bed acute care teaching hospital that sponsors nine university-affiliated residency programs. The hospital opened its doors to Trenton and its surrounding communities in 1961. It became part of Beaumont Health in September 2014. In addition to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for its patients, the hospital offers all private beds, a medical and surgical intensive care unite, and obstetrical care.   

Rotations Specific to Orientation Information

 

A placement where a group of nursing students (cohort) are assigned to a unit and led by a clinical instructor. The clinical Instructor remains on the unit with the students throughout their clinical experience.

A placement where one individual nursing student is precepted by a Beaumont staff nurse on the unit where the nurse is employed. The student is required to be precepted for a specified number of hours. The student will fulfill these hours based on the schedule of their preceptor.
