Oncology & Hospital Massage

Why oncology and hospital massage?

A growing number of cancer and hospitalized patients are realizing a need for holistic methods to ease their symptoms. Research has proven that oncology and hospital massage is safe for treating patients, and training is mandatory to massage in the hospital setting.

Integrative Medicine’s Oncology Massage Program offers three different classes: 24-Hour: Introduction to Oncology Massage, 100-Hour: Oncology and Hospital Massage and Oncology Massage 2.0: Advancing Your Skills. In the program, you will learn that there are many ways to safely massage a cancer and/or hospitalized patient, but you can cause great harm if it is not done correctly.

The Oncology and Hospital Massage class includes six days (48 hours) of in-person lecture and hands-on training where students will learn how, when, and why massage is appropriate. Students will also have the opportunity to treat patients during 52 hours of supervised clinical rotation.
